I've experienced a lot of heartache and loss in my life, but I've also been incredibly blessed. My father died when I was 13 and I just recently lost my mother. Both battled Cancer and though I was shielded from much of my father's struggle, the pain of my mother's suffering is still very fresh in my mind and heart. As difficult as it has been to lose both my parents, I have also received many blessings along the way. My mother and I developed an incredibly close bond during her illnesses and we both grew through the sharing of our faith. Our beliefs have brought my family closer together as we endured the struggles and hard times and have allowed us to more clearly see the many joys that life has to offer.

I am so thankful for my husband who is not only the love of my love, but my best friend and a truly devoted and involved father as well. We have four beautiful children who, each enrich our lives in their own individual ways. They offer us the priceless treasure of unconditional love and inspire us to emulate that purist form of caring and sharing.
It's difficult for me to fully express my gratitude for all the blessings that have been showered upon us. Through our painful experiences of our loved ones illnesses, we have learned to be more vigilant about our health and have implemented changes to assure that we are all taking care of our bodies as well as our souls. We've been granted the miracle of children, with whom we are fortunate to not only share their quest for knowledge through home schooling, but the priceless experience of growing together in our faith. Because of the simple, but incredible gifts we've been granted - love of family and unshakable faith if the Lord - we are truly blessed and grateful.
